You are standing in the Wolf Creek Watershed. Here is a map of the Wolf Creek watershed which is a sub-watershed of the Bear River watershed. Little Wolf Creek, which you will see a little farther down the trail, is a tributary that flows into Wolf Creek. Then Wolf Creek flows into the Bear River, which flows into the Feather River, then the Sacramento River, through the Bay/Delta system, and out through the Golden Gate, to the Pacific Ocean. Wolf Creek starts on Banner Mountain and is 23 miles long with many tributaries, and empties into the Bear River, south of Wolf Road. Do you live in the Wolf Creek Watershed?
