The Nevada Irrigation District (NID) uses the creek, from April 15 – Oct 15, to move water from Deer Creek and Scotts Flat Reservoir, in the Yuba watershed, through the DS Canal into Wolf Creek and out to the Tarr Ditch, as irrigation water for farmers and ranchers. It comes into Wolf Creek near Idaho Maryland Road, just above Sutton Way, and is delivered into the Tarr Ditch, just past the Wolf Creek bridge at the bottom of Allison Ranch Road. The Tarr Ditch goes all the way out to Penn Valley and delivers water, sold by the miners’ inch, to NID raw water customers, mostly for agriculture.

Del el 15 de abril hasta el 15 de octubre el Distrito de Riego (NID) usa el arroyo a través del canal DS para transportar agua, desde el arroyo Deer Creek y la presa Scotts Flat, de la cuenca del río Yuba, hacia Wolf Creek y el canal Tarr. Estas aguas serán usadas como agua de riego por los agricultores y ganaderos.

El canal de NID empieza cerca de Idaho-Maryland Road, justo arriba de Sutton Way y desemboca en el canal Tarr justo después del puente de Wolf Creek al final de Allison Ranch Road. El canal Tarr llega hasta Penn Valley y suministra a los clientes de NID agua no tratada, y vendida por pulgada de minero.
